Red Rock Thermal Motel - Mineral Pool - Rotorua

The mineral pool spa was a hit with my family! Our room was spacious, and the staff were really nice too. We spent hours in the heated pool and enjoyed the comfort of having a separate mineral spa. A solid stay.

When we checked in, deluxe apartment with very mini kitchen was ready.

My studio unit was very comfortable and clean, and I felt quite at home there. Loved the thermally heated swimming pool outdoors, and the thermal spa indoors, and it was great to come home and use these after a day exploring. Free wifi worked very well also.

Thermal Relaxation with Potential

The owners were helpful and attentive.

Unfortunately, the check-in process was a bit chaotic, and we experienced noise disturbances from neighboring rooms, which disrupted our peace. The mineral pool cleanliness was also a bit underwhelming.

Room is quite spacious and was fully equipped.

Staff arranged for tour pick up for us. Thermal hot tub was very relaxing. Staff went way out of their way to be helpful. We know we would stay there again.

We loved the convenience of having a thermal pool available at all times. The free milk in the fridge upon arrival was a good touch that made us feel extra welcome.

Best place we have stayed in in NZ.Very comfortable bed. Unlimited fast internet, friendly owner, Lovely warm outdoor pool. Easy walk to Rororua, in room safe. Cooking facilities. Wanted to stay for longer.Would love to go back

The experience of warm or themal pool, location near to city centre, facilities very good, nearby Rotorua Thermal sites, staff very friendly and very central.I Will recommend the Motel to my friends and family members.

Good place to unwind in a serene atmosphere.

The owners were so helpful! Welcomed us, showed us the thermal pool and trout stream, and booked us into an evening Maori meal and cultural experience. They went out of their way to make sure all was good in the room, and when we returned after checking out, they had found a coat we'd left and made sure we got it back! We'd go back if we were going to be in Rotarua again. We liked that it was away from the tourist area, and not in the midst of many hotels.

The lighting in the room was harsh, and difficult to use for reading in bed. Would have liked to have had bedside lamps instead of wall and ceiling fixtures.

I loved its tidy and modest rooms.

Location: the hotel was just next door to the lake front, geothermal park, and the city centre. The place had a special atmosphere. I stayed 1 night and would return anytime when visiting New Zealand...

The beautiful studio was comfortable, well-appointed, and I appreciated the fact that it had free, fast wifi. The staff provided a warm welcome and assisted with our laundry, promptly returned, washed and folded. The proximity to nearby parks with geothermal features added a unique charm to the location. The description of the room mentioned a dining table, but instead, there were only stools by a breakfast bar. The noise insulation left much to be desired. I could hear conversations from neighboring rooms quite clearly. Another minor issue was the 2% fee for credit card payments.

Just a good place! Room, spa, pool all good!
